Combined Graph (Line Graph & Bar Graph)
Combined Graph (Line Graph & Bar Graph) p1o02
The line graph shows the different between the production and consumption of rice in the X country in forty years starting from 1990, whereas the bar chart compares the consumption of rice and other agricultural products.
The line graph illustrates that both rice production and consumption increase throughout the period. The rice consumption is stable from 1990 to 2010, about 27 million tons, and then it increases and it can reach at about more 60 million tons in 2040. In comparison, from 1990 to 2010, rice production grows gradually. It is still increasing and it will also rise and reach more than 75 million tons in 2040.
Turning to the bar graph, it can be seen that unlike the consumption of rice, the amount of other food crops tends to decrease. In 1990, the consumption of rice was under 50%, lower than other staples with more than 50%. However, in the next twenty years, the consumption percentage of rice is always higher than other agricultural products. In 2010, he proportion of rice was nearly 100%, nevertheless, this rate was only nearly 25% for other staples. In 2040, it is estimated that the rice consumption will reduce and it will get the same percentage as the other food crops, it is about more than 50%.
