Apart from that, there was a notable political event in Vietnam-the country of my birth and upbringing that affected my personal biography in the middle of 2016 that is the “nine-dash line” map. The "Cow tongue line", as described in China as the "nine-dash line", is a demarcation line in the South China Sea in the shape of the bull, which appears in the geographical map China unilaterally published in 2009. Thus, if the boundary is described as the bull tongue line, the two Spratly and Paracel islands are entirely part of Chinese territory, which is contrary to all recorded history. China's photo of the map containing the "nine-dash line" has been met with much protest and criticism from international opinion. In 2016, an international tribunal ruled that China's historical claims used to justify the nine-dash line are baseless and illegitimate. Just a day after this announcement, many global Chinese artists such as Vicky Zhao, Fan Bing Bing, Yang Mi… simultaneously posted and shared the image of the "Cow tongue line" with Chinese national flag motifs with the content: "This is China, a little bit is indispensable! " on Weibo. The action of artists, whose faces have been popular with Vietnamese youths for many years, has aroused outrage among Vietnamese social media users. Viet Nam’s young people are both supremely keen on their position on Chinese speakers sharing untruthful information about the sovereignty of the South China Sea and so am I. Prominent Chinese films such as "My Fair Princess", the "Journey to The West", and the " Three Kingdoms" became a part of my childhood. Therefore, from an early age, I loved watching Chinese movies and it went on until I grew up. When I was old enough to use social media, I was always following and supporting my favorite Chinese artists. From my perspective, the enhancement of technology and social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter… are a good condition for adolescents to interact with various cultures. Multidimensional cultural contact enables young people to learn more about the good things, but previously they can do it, they need to maintain an identity so that they do not become entangled in another culture. By specific action, I got rid of all the fan pages of the Chinese artists I so idolized as well as willingly gave up watching Chinese films, especially ones with nine-dash line pictures. I see for myself that my country is severely territorial and, as a Vietnamese citizen, I can’t support those who have offended my country. I used to think that in times of peace, there would be no need to worry about war as it used to be. But after that incident, I conceive the preservation and protection of my country. I learned the responsibility of a patriotic citizen prior to I can indulge in an idol.
