The graph illustrates the average cost that the American people spent on mobile phone and landline phone services in the US between 2001 and 2010. Overall, during the 10-year period, the average annual expenditures on cell phone witnessed an upward trend, while the opposite trend was true for the amount of money spending on residential phone services of American customers. Looking at the graph in detail, in 2001, the average cost that the American residents spent on mobile phone was only 200 dollar, which was lower than the figure for landline phone services at nearly 700 dollar.
