An interactive exhibition “Tadeusz Różewicz – The Poet Is Present”
– photographs from around the world
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tadeusz Różewicz, we
invite you to visit a virtual exhibition “Tadeusz Różewicz – The Poet Is Present”.
About the Exhibition
The works of the Poet have been translated into 50 languages. We were
curious to know in which locations/places they can be found, therefore we
asked different libraries, Polish Institutes and Polish Embassies to cooperate in
creating the exhibition “Tadeusz Różewicz – The Poet Is Present”.
We asked to send us photographs of selected books of Tadeusz Różewicz,
taken either inside or in front of a given library.
We received a response from 36 libraries spread out across the world. Not only
from European countries but also from New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, Canada,
United States and Israel.
The books have been photographed in places they can be currently found like
the Stockholm Public Library or Toronto Public Library, in grand spaces and
small local libraries. Offering the viewers a wonderful glimpse at unusual
settings such as riverbank in Petersburg, staircase in Lvov or table in Caracas.
