I, Haritha Geetha from India would like to apply to study Accounting and Business Management MSc at Brunel University, London. I would like to upgrade my qualification and career from your esteemed university which would help to achieve my aspirations and I am certain that education from this International Institution of UK will provide me with the right opportunity to achieve my career goals. I have completed my secondary school education in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Adoor in the year of 2013 in which I secured 6. 5 CGPA. My schooling revealed my interest in Accounting and Business studies. I chose commerce stream for further education and completed my bachelors in commerce from University of Kerala and also cleared first level (CPT) of Chartered Accountancy from Institution of Chartered Accountants of India. Right after completing my graduation, owing to my keen sense of business and financial acumen, I landed a job where I worked as an accounting assistant in a Chartered accountant firm for a year where I gained hands on experience in maintaining books of accounts, Debtor Management, Preparation of bank reconciliation statements. In order to gain global experience, I changed my job to work as a Data analyst in a company which is a global fund data and technology leader, where I acquired knowledge about the importance of asset management, data and how to use it to grow business. Technology in the 21st century has enabled humans to make strides our ancestors could only dream of shaping the future, technology is advancing rapidly and industries are developing at an even greater pace with intense international competition, faster product life cycles and complex specialized markets that characterize the business environment. I have gained experience in Fund Data Analysis, Fund rating and calculation methodologies such as alpha& beta, big data and Finance Management, learned about the asset management companies, gained knowledge on business analysis. However, during my 2. 2 years stint in the company, I faced a lot of challenges with regards to market research and business management. Hence, I moved back to accounting field and started working as an Accountant in a private firm where I dealt with book keeping, internal audit and analyzing financial statements. Eventually, I realized that I developed an interest towards financial data, market research and business management. Thus, after careful consideration, I decided to pursue a post-graduation in order to advance my knowledge in the field and equip myself with skills that can take my career forward. Ever since childhood I were automatically made as the leader for any group activity. I was the School Pupil Leader. I was good at managing the task at hand, splitting the workload, and distributing it according to the ability of the people in the group. I also managed to keep everyone engaged with a single goal in mind. I was always a mindful listener and took steps to handle any unanticipated situations. This has helped me to build a better rapport with my teammates in my both my academic and career life. Hence, I strongly believe that I possess relevant skills to choose this course. The UK has grown to become one of the top destinations to study around the world. UK education system has a strong international reputation and is known for its effective structure, innovative policy developments and independent thinking throughout its universities and qualification is recognized and respected globally. With traditions of excellence dating back hundreds of years, high-class institutions at every corner and the learning experience allows students development of intellectual skills and empowers creative and effective thinking. These skills are recognized by employers as the qualities needed to meet the requirements of the global economy and to succeed in a competitive job market. My future plans are- after completion of studies, I will return to my motherland and pursue a good job in a leading multinational company as a Financial Analyst. Moreover, I am the only child to my parents and it’s my prime responsibility to take care of my parents, as up to now my parents worked very hard to give me a bright future. All the experience, knowledge, and skills that I acquired from my higher studies in UK at Brunel University will definitely play a vital role in getting me my dream job.
