No Experience about Ships

Generally speaking, most people where I live don’t have any experiences about being on a ship. Although here considered a coastal town, there is no harbor or port near the beach. Maybe, the main reason boils down to this: the town has focused on tourism, not transition of cargo. Another reason comes back the sea. As a matter of fact, Caspian Sea, which is situated near my town, is the widest lake on the earth. Nevertheless, it doesn’t have any large-scale river as a pass to the oceans. Therefore, it seems it could be expected that almost no one experienced being on ships.
