It is almost the last day of July and I would like to update my journal up to date as to its current situations, achievements, realizations, and aspirations that occurred in my life this past month. These events happened for a reason, but I need to be resilient and be positive in every situation whether bad or not. I believe this month of July has been productive and pleasant despite the struggles within.

It is almost the last day of July and I would like to update my journal up to date as to its current situations, achievements, realizations, and aspirations that occurred in my life this past month. These events happened for a reason, but I need to be resilient and be positive in every situation whether bad or not. I believe this month of July has been productive and pleasant despite the struggles within. Due to the pandemic, food security has been an issue due to the insufficient supply of food coming from the province. Thus, people revert to basic such as farming, cooking their food, etc to become self-sufficient. As for me, I need to be resourceful and find a way to have an alternative way to produce food, and that is front yard farming. Last week, I purchase seeds that could grow vegetables- Firstly, I plant lettuce, the plant is slowly growing, and it may take a while to see the progress. Followed by cucumber, okra, sitao, and eggplant. Next is the bitter melon. Some of the plants grow faster than the rest. Hopefully, it would produce vegetables that are worth harvesting. On the other hand, my career is promising since my counterpart in Australia, Jason is pleasant to work with. I may have developed a crush on him since he was so kind to all of us. Last Wednesday, I was assigned to a different designer since my task with him has finished. We have not talked since then because I was working with another colleague, I was surprised that he messages me, and share his trip to Boracay last 2016 with his wife. Afterward, we chatted about his ethnicity, his is South African, his studies in South Korea, and his struggles while working there. Today, he had a wonderful speech honoring us the Manila Team to the effort and being positive while struggling to beat the hardship in life. If we have these kinds of people working there, I would like to work with them as long as possible. Hoping that they would stay longer as well. Applying for a part-time job or an alternative job is in this month also. I applied as an ESL teacher for Japanese students. I passed the assessment test, but I missed a lot of the skype interviews since I was working at that time. I tried to follow up with my skype interview. Sadly, there is no response regarding my application. Furthermore, a Cad technician job post working on a UK time. I applied for it and expected to earn 40, 000 PHP. Until now, I have not received any response to it yet. There is a note that the candidates are expected to work in the office rather than Work from home. After August 6, 2021, everything will revert to ECQ status – a lot of business establishments will stop operation again. People need to be stuck in their homes again since there is a surge of Delta variant Outbreak. With that, if I got hired, there is a possibility that I may work at WFH again. Working from 2: 00 pm to 11 pm is ideal rather than another Australian time. My preferences in having a crush on someone also change this month, now I am attracted to a Caucasian race. As mention earlier, I had a crush on my Australian colleague, Jason, and with an actor Edward Norton. These surprisingly crushes with a Caucasian race is new for me since I was attracted mostly to east Asian males. These feelings are nothing since I cannot do anything about it since they are all married, but it just fascinated me that I can develop these emotions now with a different race. One of my monitors got defective this month. I knew it was depleting since May, and I am grateful that it worked till this month. After, I purchased a brand new monitor of 27” AOC with 144 HZ gaming monitor worth 13, 500 PHP. I was hesitant to purchase such a gadget since it was expensive. Unfortunately, I do not have a choice since I need to return the workstation that I received from the previous employer. After purchasing the screen, I noticed the box is quite enormous and quite heavy. After all, I managed to return home using the utility van type of transportation. Furthermore, My brother gave me advice that instead of taking a Diploma in Civil engineering, I should change it to Electrical engineering. For me, the math for Electrical is manageable compared to Civil math. In addition, my brother told me that he is currently taking up an Electrical course as well. With regards to that, I may have noted already, and study in advance. Therefore, I can prepare for it until I can migrate there next year. I think it is a good sign that my brother is taking it up too so I can have a practice that math that I hate so much. Now, there is a possibility that I may migrate next year. In terms of my English proficiency, I have not managed to get online coaching this month because I was busy with the monitor repair, and stuff. I will focus on it next week, and come back stronger with more positive thoughts that help me improve my studies. In essence, this month was productive since I manage to start farming in our front yard, my career was stable and there is food on the table, and bought my first monitor. Moreover, I had a realization that I am now attracted to the Caucasian race, and I never thought that there is a possibility that it can happen. That is a good sign that I am ready to migrate and take up an Electrical engineering course in a foreign land.
