Dear Clara, I am writing this letter to you, with the heavy heart. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to honour our previous plans, since I am stuck with certain personal obligations. You will find for the explanation below. First and foremost I would like to apologize. I completely understand it is very insensitive of me to leave you hanging high and dry at the eleventh hour. It is with utmost sincerity I assure you that I had concrete reasons for the same. When we first planned our meetup I thought I could make it, moreover I had also planned and entire itinerary for both of us. But time has not been kind to me. My closest cousin passed away recently was all very grief-stricken. However I understand life is but a journey and the show must go on. Besides my cousin wouldn't want me all gloomy anyways.
