Dear Mary,
Hope you are feeling well. I'd like to tell you know that I was very excited when I heard about your trip to Algeria next month but very sad at the same time when I came to know that you have planned to stay with me over the trip. I am writing to apologize for not being able to accommodate you during that period because my flat is forbidden to live in due to its dreadful conditions.
Unfortunately, due to the violent earthquake having shaken my town three months ago, a considerable part of the building where I lived has been destroyed and my flat's walls consequently cracked. Hence, the authorities have provided me an other collective flat which I share with other students who are in the same situation. Consequently, the corporation has immediately undertaken repair and reconstruction works which are still in progress and may take around three months.
I will be joyful if you can postpone your trip until I join my flat. It will undoubtedly the ideal way to spend ten days together. If you find it impossible, I can put you in touch with my sister living in Blida and working part-time. She could accommodate you with a great pleasure and be available to show you the various and magnificent spots of our country. I believe that they will remain engraved in your memory forever. For me, I would move to my sister's residence to share with you these cheerful moments on the week end. Alternatively, I can book a room for you in a radiant hotel which would be nearby my new residence and I would take charge of all the stay's costs.
I am waiting impatiently for your response. Tell me about your prefered suggestion at the earliest to allow me making some arrangements accordingly. With love. Selma.
