Dear Mr. Loye, I am Joy, an occupant of your three bedroom apartment situated at Belomoral street. I am writing to request for deferment of my rent due to the financial difficulties I am currently facing and to let you know the specific time I would be able to pay up. The problem is that, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, quite a number of organizations are facing major set-back in their businesses. The impact of this dreaded disease has cascaded down to their employees, as majority of them cannot afford to pay staffs their remunerations. This has been my plight for the past two months. I was relieved of my job, which was my main source of livelihood, and it has been extremely difficult for me to cater for my family and their daily needs. Although I run a small business, the proceeds are very meagre, and as such would not be sufficient to pay the rent. I have, however, been offered another paid employment with a more promising organization about a month ago. Consequently, by the end of next month, on the 30th of Novemeber precisely, I would have been able to, unfailingly, save up enough funds to pay the accrued rent.
