Dear Mr. Jones, I am the mother of David Crosby (Class 8A) and am writing to request permission for him to be absent from class on Friday, November 8th. As you know, our family only recently moved to England from Germany. Next week it is my parents’ Golden Wedding anniversary, and I would very much like to return home to join the celebrations.
