Combination of all the Books written in the history of mankind are insufficient to cover the knowledge available in this universe. It is simply impossible to contain everything that is available. Hence, I am of the view that only combination of literature based knowledge along with practicle knowledge are integral for complete knowledge.
Documentation and record keeping have been possible only after development of language and text. On the top of that as a ritual tribes as well as civilizations prefered to passing on knowledge through verbal communication. Therefore, acquiring knowledge has two parts namely theoritical and practicle.
The extent of knowledge is infinitly large to capture them entirely on books. Hence, it creates scope for the knowledge that should be acquired via experience. In contrast, not all knowledge can be acquired through experience. For instance, study of redioactive material is far risky to learn with experience.
While the knowledge in books once they are written is easyly passed from one learner to another. Conversly, knowledge from experience demands each student to go through the learning process personally. This may be time consuming and discouraging to scholars persuing knowledge.
In my view, knowledge gained from books and one acquired through experiences are equally important. One is incomplete without another. Both of them have their own value preposition depending on the circumstances.
