Dear Radhika, Hope you are doing great. It’s been immense pleasure to receive your letter after so long. You have asked for my advice regarding the next in step you should take- either to go to college or to get a job. I suggest you to gain some work experience before pursuing higher education. As I know you, You are not enjoying to go to college now, because you have always wanted to get some work experience. And what better time is to do work then now? I feel getting a job is a better idea for you as I would expose you to real business which you can capitalise in your higher education as you always interested in studying business administration. I joined college immediately after completing my school education and couldn’t get any job experience which I often regret. I don’t want you to repeat the same mistake. Job helps you to get some valuable skills such as delighted task, meeting deadlines, time management, team spirit. It also helps you to enhance your decision making and presentation skills. Also it open the door for better job opportunities in future. I think you should try to get a job in a large retail shop as a salesperson. It would let you help you experience the business frame closely. Warm regards, Navneet Kaur.
