Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter with regards to the recent announcement which Government of India has made in the last month regarding an Airport construction in Whitefield area near to my house. The airport is planned to be constructed on a dump site which was not in use from the last 10 years.
The construction of this airport will provide a good connectivity to commuters with the rest of country and can save a lot of travel time, but there are some drawbacks as well which cannot be ignored. Late night Flights will disturb the daily routine of all the nearby residentials and may effect their health to a great extent. But the effect could be more for pupils and animals as well. In addition there could be a traffic congestion problem as well as the city toll is very nearby and hence people can miss their flights.
In my perspective, there could be a one solution which can be implemented to deal with the above negative impacts. Instead of constructing a runway towards Indiranagar, which is next to Whitefield, we can think of shifting it towards MG road which is full of commercial complexes. In this way, we will have a very little noise from Airport during landing & takeoffs which is helpful for all the residents living in Whitefield. Moreover, the traffic should also be diverted and divided in between the two areas. Kindly review this and let me know if you need additional information.
Yours sincerely,
Mike
