Dear Mrs. Johnson, I am writing to report a leakage in the rented house due to a recent hurricane. Such was the intensity of the rain that most of the furniture was partially damaged despite my effort to prevent this. The issue started a week ago when a local storm struck the neighborhood. Initially, a gust caused the nearby trees to swing around, which collided and broke some of the windows. From that point, I knew that this type of weather was no joke, so the building was fortified with planks of wood, preparing for the worst. However, it was the following attack that really wreaked havoc. An hour later, the downpour began, during which time, a high volume of rainwater fell down at great velocity, which quickly wore down the wooden boards. Unexpectedly, they could no longer hold the liquid, resulting in leakage in all rooms. In this period, regardless of my attempt to mitigate this problem, the damage had already been done when the floor and household items became soggy. Fortunately, the storm subsided shortly after this. I apologize for letting this happen. Yours sincerely, Hoang Pham
