Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to file an insurance claim for luggage that was lost during my holiday last week. The luggage consists of one black, medium-sized suitcase of brand American Tourister. Since this is a brand new suitcase, it should be in fairly good condition. It should have a luggage tag with my contact details. While I am not sure how the luggage was lost, I imagine that the airline might have placed it on a different flight. I have contacted the airline and they are almost certain this is the most likely scenario. Before I left, I took out the travel insurance with your company. As per the insurance policy, lost luggage is covered. Hence, I have attached the insurance claim and I would appreciate if your company could review the approximated value of the luggage and process the attached claim.
