You live in an English speaking country and you want to do some voluntary work. Write a letter to the local council to let them know the following: - why you want to do this voluntary work free time - what your skills and experience are certificate and experience backhome - what can you do as a volunteer help to elders

Dear Sir/Madam, My name is Gurjit Kaur. By profession, I am a personal support worker. I came here on a working visa for two years. I saw your company’s post online that you require some volunteers for supporting elders. I am writing this letter to enquire whether you have any volunteer work available in the evening time or weekend. As I arrived in Canada alone without family. After doing my job, I have some free time in the evening. I would like to utilize it productively. As I was home for the last 2 months at sunset time, I felt that I am getting lazy. I want to get rid of this as soon as possible. My qualification and experience of five years in Personal Support work sufficient for this position. At my current job, I am dealing with elders on regular basis, which helps me to learn more about them. In old age homes, mostly old age people feel isolated. They want to communicate and want to enjoy life as they were enjoying when they were young. By serving them, I will also be able to get an opportunity to learn from their life experiences. It would be highly grateful if you could provide an opportunity to work with your company as a volunteer So, I have lots of pleasan tmemories to take back with me after two years. Please feel free to contact me via email kaur55@gmail. com Yours Faithfully ‘Gurjit Kaur
