Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Segilola, a Computer Engineering student of this prestigious college. I am currently living in Apartment 8B in Moremi Hall which I share with another student. I am writing this letter to you to highlight the various problems that I am currently experiencing with my roommate which make studying difficult.
Let me explain the situation to you. As a computer Engineering student, I write a lot of computer programs which I am only able to complete preferably in a quite environment. My roommate on the other hand is a music undergrad and an aspiring guitarist. He is constantly practicing on his guitar sometimes till late at night, and the constant noise makes it difficult for me to concentrate.
Also, my roommate is a smoker and a heavy drinker. While I understand that it is his prerogative to indulge in smoking and drinking habits, I am however an asthmatic patient and thus for health reasons it is unsafe for me to live under these conditions.
I would therefore appreciate if you could change my room. I would prefer to be paired with a student studying a similar course with mine and most importantly a student that does not smoke and drink.
Thank you for your consideration and I look forward to a favorable response.
Yours faithfully,
Segilola
