You live in a room in college which you share with another student. You find it very difficult to work there because he or she always has friends visiting. They have parties in the room and sometimes borrow your things without asking you. Write a letter to the Accommodation Officer at the college and ask for a new room next term. You would prefer a single room. Explain your reasons.

Hi Mr. Jones, My name is Alvin Cruz and currently renting in unit 501 at Eddy Hall of Student Housing Building. I would like to inform my concern with my roommate and request for a room replacement as soon as possible. His name is Joe Francis and freshmen student. I think he is not properly informed with the rules and regulations that are implemented with the hall. His friends who are not staying in this dormitory always visit late in the afternoon. I knew going to your friends room are allowed but I noticed their visit are becoming habitual even on weekends. Also, the reason why his friend are visiting him is not about doing group study but just merely to party and this is becoming nuisance. I do not want to make it look exaggerated, but he also would use my personal things such as soap and clothes without seeking permission first. To be honest, I was keeping my patience for quite sometime but it has already reached my limit. I hope you can rectify concern immediately as the finals are coming closed. Sincerely Yours,
