Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to bring in your notice about the incorrect information mentioned in your international travel magazine.
The article about "Travel to Gujarat" in edition 45 of the magazine contained few details that were incorrectly represented. I being a native of Gujarat knows accurate details about the historical places present in Ahmedabad. The article mentioned that Ahmedabad was founded by Emperor Akbar which is not true, the original founder of Ahmedabad was Ahmed Shah. Based on the founder's name the location "Ahmedabad" got its name. Apart from that few details about Gandhi Ashram were incorrect, to rectify the mistake I would like to add that Gandhi Ashram was the place where Gandhiji lived his rest of the life and not the one where he was born.
Please note that such mitakes gives incorrect information to the readers and this may misguide their knowledge about historical places as some readers are not aware about the location and this result in them believing whatever is mentioned in your article. I suggest you to research about the location or you may contact and get details from the residents of that specific place about which you may want to publish in your magazine as this will help in providing correct information to readers.
I hope these kind of mistakes will not take place in future as this is also affecting the magazine's reputation.
Yours faithfullyBhavna Soni
