Dear sir, I am writing to express my concern about the conditions of bus services working in the city and the transportation issues faced by citizens who travel through bus service on a daily basis. The Bus went out of service two times during the last two weeks. Once in the morning when every passenger is either reaching to office or school/college/university. The other time was also in the afternoon when school/collge students are travelling back home. Both of the situations are equally important for the passengers because in the morning people dont want to get late and in the afternoon, students are tired and want to reach home as soon as poosible to rest and complete the rest of tasks for the day. The importance of a good transport carrier i-e The Bus can not be stressed enough. In order to save time and money people take the bus and rely heavily on the transportation service to reach their desired place. The idea bus is one which is reliable and spacious enough to provide seating to maximum number of passengers, The reliabiliity factor will not only facilitate the passengers but also the driver. The drivers have always reached the stop on time but due to engine issues and over crowding the bus gets late to reach the stop. The late arrival followed by frequent engine breaks cause frustrtaion among the passengers and the driver. Last week when the Bus engine broke down i was on my to office. On Tuesday Morning we have weekly meetings early morning with the Bank's manager where job performance for the week is evaluated. Usually i reach by 9. 00 at the office but that morning because of the poor bus service i managed to reach at 10. 30 after waiting 1. 5 hour for the bus to get strated again. Unfortunately the engine was broken down completely and the driver pardoned the passengers. Hence we all took taxis to our office which took another half an hour to reach the office late. Because of my absence from the meeting i was evaluated as a late comer by my boos and my daily task was given to my other collegue. This was the budgeting of the branch i was trying for taking this particular task for a couple of months. The poor bus service of our area has caused me and other passengers emotional stress and financial loss as well. I would suggest you to please change the Bus of our area with new modern buses with more seating to avoid over crowding and a strong engine that is not only reliable but also last a few years. the driver told us that the engine was changed just a year back and it broke down twice during the year which means the engine quality was poor. You can increase the fair by two or five dollars which wont cause the citizens much pain than the losses we bear daily by reaching to the destination late. Thankfully Mehreen
