You have heard that a developer plans to build a shopping centre near your home. Write a letter to the town council. Begin your letter as follows: Dear Sir or Madam

Dear Sir/Madam, I am a VIP colony resident. I am writing to know more about the proposed shopping mall construction near my house as I have seen an advertisement, few days back in a local newspaper regarding the same and they are starting construction very soon. Let me explain my situation, I have been living in this society for about 6 years, and every year there is some construction going on without giving any notice, which causes myriad trouble for the people living here. As there is much noise coming from the construction site, big trucks and vehicle carrying construction material give us trouble, in many ways, especially to older people and children playing outside. Also, this time, we did not get to know about the construction from the authority. I would like you to request the developer to give us the timeline of construction, the construction timing on-site, and how they will ensure residents living nearby construction sites. The concern authorities should take note of it and will ensure the safety of their people. Hope to hear from you soon. Yours faithfully, Rohit Kumar Tripathi
