Dear Sir, I am writing to seek your permission for a two hours off from work on Monday, March 22. The reason why I need an early off from work is that my wife has recently been diagnosed with gall stones and recommended for a laparoscopic gall bladder removal surgery. As she is young I am very skeptical about organ removal hence I have an appointment from another gastrologist for a second opinion. Although the appointment is at 3pm and it should not take more than an hour, but due to heavy flow of patients at his clinic it can take half an hour more. Many times there are some emergency cases during the clinic timings and the patients have to wait longer than the stated time, therefore if any such situation occurs I will inform you immediately. The time bracket during my unavailability would be managed by my assistant, whom I have instructed to receive all calls and pen down all the note for me.
