Dear Sir or Madam, I’m writing this letter to request to take leave from the work for couple of weeks in January. I have to go away for two weeks from 4th of January to 18th of January to look after my father while undergoing his heart surgery on the 4th of January. Let me explain my situation in detail. During the last week of December 2019, my father suffered from the heart failure, when we reach to the hospital, doctor gave him medicines and did the ECG test. Followed by series of treatments like Angioblast and Angiography, because we able to reach to the hospital on time, doctors managed to save his life. Now, experts are suggesting to undergo heart surgery to ensure my father do not suffer from the heart attack in the future, and this will take as long as 15 days in the hospital. So, I need at least 15 days of holidays from my work so that can I can secure the life of my father. Could I suggest you how my work could be covered while I’m away? The project I’m working on has a team of six, if every member volunteer to do extra work which is obviously a part of my work then this won’t affect the productivity and timeline of the project.
