Dear Ms. Williams, I am writing to you regarding our move into our new rented apartment next week. Unfortunately, unexpected problem has occurred due to typhoon and moving in at our agreed date is no longer possible. When the typhoon hit Metro Manila yesterday, our current apartment has been flooded up to 5ft and all our furniture and appliances was destroyed. In addition, our new apartment is also severely damaged by the typhoon as thick muds are scattered all over the place. Based from our assessment, the personal damages would cost us a lot of money to repair our appliances and buy new furniture. Meanwhile, the new apartment also needs to be cleaned and re-painted because of the muds that were stuck in the walls and floors. We were also informed that there is no electricity at this time because the electrical posts were severely hit by the trees due to strong winds. Because of these unfortunate circumstances, we are requesting to extend our move-in date to next month to give us an ample time to recuperate mentally and financially from the damages of the typhoon and also to give you time to properly manage the new apartment in-time for our move. We are hoping for your kind consideration and Thank you for understanding. Sincerely Yours, Mariel Loto
