Dear Brad,
I am writing this letter to ask your permission to move to a different position in our company. I've heard about a new opportunity in our Research and Development department and I am very much interested in that job and will be more than happy if you allow me to apply for that position.
In my present job, I do repetitive tasks every day, it feels like I am a robot who is programmed to do specific tasks only. I mastered all the aspects of the quality control position, and have nothing new to learn, consequently, my growth is completely stopped.
I have a bachelor's in chemistry and Chemical Engineering along with 2 years of experience as a research assistant. So, if you would allow me to work in Research then can I learn more about chemical compounds, their physical and chemical properties, and most importantly their use in the food industry. Additionally, I will help our company to grow using my education and research experience.
