Dear Brad, I am writing this letter to ask your permission to move to a different position in our company. I've heard about a new opportunity in our Research and Development department and I am very much interested in that job and will be more than happy if you allow me to apply for that position. In my present job, I do repetitive tasks every day, it feels like I am a robot who is programmed to do specific tasks only.
