Writing letter to a friend requesting for advice

Writing letter to a friend requesting for advice nRynR
Dear Margaret, Gerald told me recently that you’ve been put in an offer on a house on Paxman Ave. , just around the corner from me, and I thought I’d let you know a couple of things. The crime’s been up lately in the area, usually car theft and burglary. This has been happening to us and our neighbours for more than a year now, and my husband and I couldn’t do anything but move away from the area. We’ve chosen to rent a house somewhere nicer, and I’d recommend you do the same. At the moment, the local property prices don’t relate to the nightmare happening here, and I’m afraid that you’re making a bad investment. We were thinking about a place in nearby Dimbleby; it’s quite small, but that means that high crime is unlikely. Wherever you decide to live, I just wanted you to know that I’d advise against moving here, as I guess you deserve something better. Best wishes, Edna
