Dear Mrs Barret, I am writing this letter against your advertisement for help next summer. I can understand that in this part of the country, it is very difficult for a person who speaks only English and has limited knowledge of local language, in carrying out daily tasks. Since I have done my studies in english language, I am fluent and can converse without any problem in both the languages. Whether it is related to buying groceries or hiring vehicle for going out or anything which involves getting information from local people, I can help. Not only this, slowly you can learn local language from me which can help you in future. I faced similar problem when I stayed in eastern part of India where people could speak and communicate only in Bengali. There was hardly anyone who could understand English or Tamil, my native language. It was tough time for me and then I decided that whenever I get chance I will help people who runs into similar situation. It would give me plaeasure and sense of self satisfaction. As I am doing my graduation and next summer I need to complete my project for final exams. For that I will be going to library twice a week for an hour. So on those two days, I would be not available for an hour. Remaing 5 days in a week, I would be available from 12pm till 6pm. I hope it would reduce your problems to some extent.
