Write a mail to a professor requesting a research opportunity. Xoo1A
Dear professor, I am from Nepal with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. I am considering applying at South Dakota State University in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Going through several universities, I was advised by my beloved friend Pranil Archarya, to consider going for the perfect instructor rather than top-tier universities. During the conversation, he suggested I request you an opportunity to work under your supervision. I am interested in robotics, bionics, bio-hybrid technology, biomedical engineering, and applied machine learning. I have work experience in sectors such as telecommunication software companies, motorcycle workshops, and my family business of medical devices and medicines. My specialization, however, has been managing large-scale projects to deliver the system, service, and product to both governmental and private organizations. I particularly like to engage in wearable robotics. Nevertheless, areas of research are not limited to such scope. I am open and flexible to work in the field of robotics and machine learning. For the reasons mentioned, I was wondering if there is any possibility for a student like me to research under your supervision. I have attached my CV if you would like to go through it. I will be more than happy to provide you with any further information you desire to see. I will be happily looking forward to your response. Thank you. Kind regards Junesh Gautam
