Write a thank you letter to the public transport authority about the manager who helped you to find something you lost. In your letter say:

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter to inform you that you have got an efficient manager named Jack Mirrow who helped me find my backpack with a laptop and other important documents that I lost on a bus journey. Last Saturday I took a bus by your company in Liverpool and arrived at London Central Station at approximately 3pm. I discovered that I left my stuff when I arrived at a hotel. The bag contained a work laptop with confidential information and some important official documents. I immediately contacted your London office and was absolutely impressed by the prompt responsiveness of the manager. He patiently listened to the incident and assured me that I would get my bag as soon as possible. Although your employee sounded confident I was not sure of getting back my bag and documents. But the next morning the manager rang my mobile phone and told me that he has recovered my backpack. He also invited me to the company's office where the lost things are stored.
