Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing this letter to express my interest in applying for the Master degree program in Materials Science starting in summer 2022. I completed my bachelor’s degree as a Mechanical Engineer in Sakarya University. During my degree I picked up and comleted lectures such as Mathematics (12 etcs), Physics (12etcs), Chemistry (5 etcs) and Materials Science (11 etcs) to start carreer in oil & gas industry. My first experience as an engineer was at Tecnicas Reunidas Tupras Reside and Upgrade Project where I had a chance to work on various materials for example SS, CS and Alloys. Bringing a drawing from design to real life was not easy. Even a simple task required a certain level of communication, coordination know-how, and teamwork. With my increasing experience, devotion and eagerness to learn, I was selected as a Piping Material Specialist in the same company for next ARP Refinery Project. During my duty I have experienced valuable information about specification of different type of materials. After gaining multiple years of experience I was hired by Tekfen Construction as a Materials Chief at 2017. During my carreer at Tecnicas Reunidas and Tekfen Construction I could observe the benefits of diversity in a multicultural environment since more than 50% of our colleagues were from several foreign countries. After gaining multiple years of experience in various roles, on topics such as material planning, technical clarification, organization, coordination and many more, I set my eyes to the future once again. As I see the benefits of dedicated education as indispensable, I am ready to learn more details about materials where can I discover more technical data to develop my experience and carreer. I believe that Stutgart University has great oppurtunity to learn valuable informations on materials. Finally, I want to emphasize that even if the competition will be tough, I believe that I have many strengths that make me eligible for the program. I feel that my experiences and enthusiasm make me a strong candidate for the programm.
