Dear Enola,
Hope you’re doing well! I have written to apologize you that it has taken me so long to write to you but at last I put my pen down to explain why I haven’t returned that scarf which I have borrowed from you.
To be honest, I’ve been feeling so guilty that I delayed writing to you. I have to own up that I damaged that scarf accidently. I’m so sorry. I know how important that scarf is to you as it was passed down from your late grandmother.
What happened is that I had been clicking certain pictures with my sister and when I went to balcony, the scarf got stuck on a sharp edge where it got torn up. Most of the torn up part is on the side line of the scarf.
I have sent the scarf away to get it repaired. I didn’t realize that it was even possible after hearing that weird sound. Anyway, it should be as good as new when I get back next weekend then I’ll send it on to you.
Again, I’m so sorry for the delay in telling you. Hope to see you soon and looking forward for your forgiveness.
Regards,
Cheryl.
