Dear Sir or Madam,
It has come to my knowledge that some members of the city council want to prohibit cars on several downtown streets. I understand that this decision will allow pedestrians and bicyclists to use roads freely and more safely. However, I must explain my point of view in this matter. When I first heard about this new idea, in my monthly block meeting, some ideas came along. I believe, that beside the already stated positive impact of this plan, some others are a great incentive, for instance, possible extra excercise. However, the negative aspects must be taken into considerantion as well. Firstly, all the workers on the area will be forced to use public transit, which will lead to higher number of people on the subway. In addition, considering COVID 19, the number of possible exposures will dramatically increase in an already over exposed area.
It is my opinion, that eventhough, this is a very interesting plan for the future, right now it is not a good plan. Once the pandemic is over, this can be used as a novel strategy to increase excercise and networking with peers.
I sincerely hope you will take my opinion into consideration.

some
