undable to attend evening class

Dear Mr. Peter, This letter is to express my inconvenience in continuing the part time evening computer course. The following are my reasons for the unavailability. As you are aware, I am working as a Maintenance technician in a water treatment plant and my job includes day and night shifts. My employer was aware of my part time education, he offered me to work in the day shift. Unfortunately, one of my co-worker met with an accident and I have been assigned with the night shift for the next few months as we are in short of staff. Although, I am unable to continue my education, my employer has promised me that once my colleague is back to duty they will allocate me the day shift.
