Dear Sir,
I am Anju Shanil, resident of Sai Vihar Housing Society, Belapur. I am writing this letter to request a column in your prestigious newspaper ‘The Hindu’ about a disturbing news, which came to my attention recently. The local authority has decided to vend the common park located near my resident for construction of the mall, and I would like to aware people about this plan.
People from my society as well as others living nearby usually come to this park for many activities such as jogging, meditation, exercise and for socializing. Besides, this park has been great place for sports aficionado, as they do regular sports practicing in this ground. Moreover, in the hassles of the city this park is the cherry in the cake to spend time in the lap of the nature. And the main concern is as there is no other park within the radius of 10 kms, losing this park disturb the daily routine of the people who were dependent.
If the local authority continues with its plan, I have left with no other options but to go to higher authorities. Also, I have taken signatures of those who are against the sale of the park.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Looking forward for your article about this concern on your leading newspaper.
Thanks and Regards,
Anju Shanil
