Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing this letter on behalf of all the residents of New Avenue Street to express our dissatisfaction with the waste collection process in our neighborhood. The garbage collection vehicle comes to our locality once a week; however, owing to the increase in the number of residents currently living in the area this collection schedule is not sufficient. Garbage bins become full within two or three days after they are emptied and hence residents have no choice but to keep their waste bags outside. As a result, there is an increase in the number of cockroaches, mosquitoes, and rodents in our locality. Due to this, more people are getting sick than ever before. Residents are scared of sending their children out to play, as they fear that their children may get infected. I would like to suggest that the rubbish collection schedule for our locality be revised. Based on the number of residents in the area, I believe that the collection must be done at least twice a week. Alternately, it would be helpful to have more garbage bins in the area so that people do not have to keep their waste bags outside. I hope you will consider my suggestions.
