Rubbish collection is a problem. Is the is correct and give your opinion

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to inform you of the recent disruptions in the garbage collection mechanism of our locality, Model Town. The issue is that the garbage truck comes once every month and this causes our garbage containers to overflow. The overflow of containers causes a pungent smell to spread throughout our locality, and is affecting both our family and the neighbourhood. In addition to this, the heaps of rubbish attract various flies and mosquitoes. Both these effects of late collection have caused an increase in mosquito bites in children and also have made jogging impossible on the streets. I request your council to change collection schedule for our area. We estimate that if the garbage could collected every week, then this problem would be solved for us.
