Studying Design was in fact, a marvelous opportunity to let my imagination get wider. During these years of studies at the ESSTED university in Tunisia, I have discovered that designing an interior space is more than placing randomly some furniture to fill in the blanks. I made different projects, each one of them added to my small bag of knowledge a new something. I have participated in some workshops, organized by my university, to gain more experience in my field and get more innovative ideas from famous international designers that have attended the events. I acquired the ability to design domestic places and understanding the philosophy of the space. I have learned that the key to designing any type of place, is to actually, understand the place itself and have a certain connection to it. For my graduation project, I got the chance to work on service design. I took the risk and chose to work on embassies, and I sincerely gained a lot of experience in this field. It was not an easy project, but I accepted the challenge and decided to move forward and to believe in my goal. I understood the importance of administrative design that is, unfortunately, not well developed in my country, I tried to compare the local traditional architecture to the foreign ones. I mainly focused on the Japanese embassy and I tried to imagine a whole new image that remains loyal to the Japanese identity. I couldn’t exclude the irruption of the new pandemic that has subverted every domain including Architecture and design. I tried to immerse the concept of transparency in this project and valorize the green space by integrating it inside the building, creating a piece of cultural art. The goal of this project was to minimize the propagation of the Corona Virus and to think about new efficient solutions in the long term to get over this nightmare.
