Being a keen interest holder in the field of computers and information technology, I would like to introduce myself as an eager enjoyer of computer and related subjects hailing from a small village Berkheri falling in the north-eastern province of the state Haryana. I am the only child in the family and live with my father, an …………, mother, a house maker and boutique runner, and my grandmother. Participating in various co-curricular activities, for instance, debates, inter-school quizzes, science exhibitions, and many more, have always catered enthusiasm within me during my schooling days. I can recall that I developed an interest in computers and I was fascinated by various sorts of software that I could use with it when I was in grade 8 and since then I have always dreamt of becoming a software developer. I strongly believe that the possession of time management skills and the amusement that I feel while solving complex mathematical problems will surely benefit me in long term to adopt coding as my forte. Before proceeding any further, I shall put forward more about myself. I did complete my matriculation in the year 2019 by achieving 92. 6% and Senior Secondary in the year 2021 by securing 83. 4% in Non-Medical Stream both from the CBSE board, one of the most esteemed boards in the country, from Akal Academy Ajitser Ratia and G N Khalsa Senior Secondary School respectively, both being well-reputed schools. To get a head start at my higher studies in the field of computer programming, I have already completed certification courses in C programming and PYTHON from GUVI, India’s first vernacular EdTech Platform incubated by IIT-M and IIM-A. To acquire much needed practical knowledge and experience a global exposure necessary for top-tier skill development to make myself able of meeting the present industry’s needs and adequate of fulfilling my dreams, I have thought to pursue the Diploma in Computer Programming at Seneca College Reason for choosing Seneca College: Despite receiving offers from other colleges in Canada, I have chosen Seneca College as my intense online research made me conclude that it is Seneca College that caters to all my interests, and its connections with top-tier open-source companies such as Mozilla and Red Hat will unarguably help me to receive a top-notch education in the field. Also, the curriculum of this college is the best, according to me. The objective of choosing Canada as a study destination: After a profound amount of online and offline research coupled with discussion with some friends that are studying abroad, I am convinced to pursue my higher education abroad due to the availability of more practical education along with industrial exposure, both of which are the most crucial aspects of studying computer programming. Moreover, Indian institutes lack quality education. As a result of intensive studies regarding educational institutes worldwide, I have concluded that Canadian colleges are one of the best education providers and also their education is being valued by employers all around the globe, especially in India. Not only this but, the supportive policies of the Canadian government towards international students, the health care system, personal security, multicultural communities along the amiable environment made me get gravitated towards studying at a Canadian College. Such quality experience will help me, in my home country, in bringing numerous amount of improvements to the Indian IT Industry. Future Goals Upon the successful completion of my diploma at Seneca College, I intend to return to my home country foreseeing the rapid growth of the Indian IT industry, which is one the fastest growing in the world. Prospects, here, are much bright. The Government of India’s flagship initiatives like “Digital India”, “Make in India” etc. are contributing towards making the country one of the fastest-growing economies. The surprising number of new set-ups of world-renowned IT companies and new IT-related startups in India have sky-rocketed the employment opportunities for highly skilled professionals and candidates with education from advanced countries, keeping in mind in-depth knowledge and global exposure they possess, have an edge over others. I took the IELTS Academic Test, dated 09 October 2021, at Ambala Centre (Centre Number – IN855). My candidate number was 309454. I scored an overall band score of 8. 0 with 9. 0 bands in Listening, 9. 0 bands in Reading, 6. 5 bands in Writing, and 7. 0 bands in Speaking. Moreover, I have already paid my first-year tuition fees accounting for CAD 16113. 79 and CAD 10, 200 for the GIC account. I did intensive hard work while applying to the right Canadian Institution for the course that I am keenly interested in. I am extremely excited as well as interested in going to Seneca College. I am already halfway towards fulfilling my dream of studying in Canada and now I am looking forward to pursue with further procedures for the completion of my application. Having a student visa for Canada is the prerequisite to commence with my course.
