To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my great interest in joining Masaryk university as an exchange student. I am currently studying Network Engineering and Security at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan. My flame of enthusiasm for IT kindled from a young age as I was driven by rapidly growing curiosity and a thirst for new knowledge and experiences.
I’ll recount a significant aspect of my senior high-school year: I knew what field I wanted to continue studying, but I had little idea about where. Determined to always leave my comfort zone, I started to look for unconventional options to me. One of the available was Masaryk university; it appeared to match my personality extensively, and indeed it appeared as a great fit for my pursuits. Unfortunately, however, I had to opt for JUST due to financial purposes, but soon after my satisfaction rose knowing that the two universities became partners; I knew I had to apply to an exchange program as soon as possible.
I believe this opportunity would allow me growth me in several purviews; whether it’s via the debate club where I can more closely get to know minds of people from a different culture, or the extracurricular activities offered, or the events going on in every corner, or the fact that Czechia has so many attractions I’d love to see live such as Adrspach National Forest, Prague castle and Hodinový stroj -I definitely want a marble. Brno’s also in central Europe; facilitating travel to all my dream destinations where maybe I can collect puzzle pieces of my soul into one whole picture and gain insight into different cultures and histories.
Being an IT student, I sanctify modern teaching methods which are available in MU where courses such as Applied Cryptography, Marketing Information Services and Human- computer Interaction are offered; learning them from a different perspective would enrich my technical skills to a great extent. Furthermore, I am a language enthusiast with the belief that communication is key for development and the best appliance to get my message of peace and knowledge across, so it would be a great chance to challenge myself with an exotic language like Czech with the offered courses in the university. Additionally, I’d like to exploit the gained knowledge of Czech to get to know the Czech in depth; I heard of their intellectual dark humor -the greatest Czech ever (Jára Cimrman) should be a role model to everyone, realism and innovation. Furthermore, I consider myself as entrepreneurial; I view connections as the key to success. Consequently, the relaxed creative environment offered in MU, and the kindness of the instructors and staff - which was evident when I contacted them through email, along the factors previously mentioned, all intrigue me into opening up doors in another part of the world and engaging in an experience I know will be very rewarding.
Finally, I’ll conclude by expressing my love of making a positive impact on people as I’ve always been a global citizen with a belief that humans are created equal, and that I’m a person who belonged to the world rather than a certain place, so I would like to take a chance to help in improving the mentality of people regarding all the negative stereotypes of Muslims and Arabs. Accordingly, I really hope that my application would be held into consideration for the Erasmus position; to aid in revolutionizing the globe into a harmonious peaceful world.
Thank you for your consideration!
Sincerely,
