Dear Host Family, I do not know you persoanlly yet but I already admire you because hosting a student from a foreign country is very generous and worthy for respecting and I also thank you for taking the time to read my letter. Let me introduce myself now. My name is Valeria and I am 15 years old. I am living with my family that consists of four members including me. I live with my mother, my father and my 11 year old brother. I have very good relationships with them because they are based on love, respect, support, understanding and compassion. I enjoy doing many activities together. We usually cook, work, watch films, have various discussions, go for a picnics or just go for a walks, learn from one another and have fun together. As a member of this family, I have responsibilities as well. I help my parents all the time if it is needed. I usually do cleaning and help my parents to do other household chores that are around the house. Since I think that interests can describe a person very well I would like to enumerate my hobbies. At the moment, I enjoy reading books, studying English and practicing sports, such as especially volleyball. I used to dance and do gymnastics earlier and I could retake these hobbies too if I have the opportunity. I am also fond of started studying web-development, an activity I’ve started recently. So, I can say I like trying new things, however, when I attend school I dedicate most of my time to studying. In my free time, I like going for a walk a lot and see other new places as well. I think it is important for everyone to have at least one friend especially if s/he shares similar interests. I do not have many friends but the ones I have are kind-hearted and represent interesting personalities. We usually go for walks, go shopping, take photos, attend the same clubs and try to do new things together. The city town I live in is quite small, sometimes it seems that we all know one another. Despite this aspect of my town, I love it very much for its nature, its location, its own beauty and peace. My favourite places of this town are our central park and the river next to it. I enjoy going there especially in summer when everything is green and it is warm and sunny outside. And I could also say add that nature is the place I feel freely. at ease. I do not have determined plans for my future and career because it is a very difficult thing to decide on at this chapter of my life but I definetely know I want to discover the world, communicate as more as possible to make an exchange of experience and just be a good person. I would like you, my future host family, to know that I appreciate people who understand me and can be be by my side when I need it. I also can add that I might be shy at first sight and only after some time passes by I can try to speak and be an open person. I can get along easily with children and I am a person who sometimes needs privacy as well. I hope we will manage to understand each other. From my exchange experience I would like to gain new acquantainces and, of course, new knowledge about the American culture. I would also love to represent my own country and its culture.
