To Whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to recommend Vu Minh Ngoc for The Spring 2022 YSEALI Academic Fellowship Program. I am Ngoc’s homeroom teacher and student advisor in the Biotechnology class of 2020, University of Science at the Vietnam National University. After over a year of accompanying Ngoc on her academic pathway, I truly believe that she is an exceptional candidate for your honorable program. Ngoc came to my attention as a determined and sharp-witted student. She quickly demonstrated her keen interest in scientific and humanity issues throughout her studies. Her course project for the Earth and Life Sciences class, taught by Professor Dang Thi Ngoc earlier this year, established an interesting view on how false tourism practices in several blooming attractions of Vietnam may have detrimental influences on the natural landscapes and resources, alongwith the lives of local childrens and the loss of cultural identity. Her talk has proved her relevant and critical knowledge on current national issues. One can easily see that she showcases mature perspectives on all aspects, particularly those related to her study on biological and environmental matters. Ngoc has also shown good teamwork skills and she has been a remarkable presenter in a number of course projects. Not only has she delivered impactful and compelling talks during her presentations, she is also able to deliver constructive guidance and messages to her teammates. Various presentations and projects, in which she held one of the leading roles, have been successful and gained acknowledgement from her peers and teachers. This is reflected in her GPA of over 3. 6, and her particularly high grades in core classes, which she has consistently maintained since the very beginning of freshman year. At a personal level, Ngoc is a highly disciplined and determined individual. Having set her eyes on a higher education since the start of the second academic year, she has worked more diligently than most other students over the past period. She has begun teaching herself a wide set of skills, from foreign tongues to programming languages. It is sure that once she steps out into the world, a dream that she has long been living upon, she will put in her best effort to help make the world a better place.
