High school and university are two essential levels to complete the educational system. In high school years, students usually have to decide which college they want to apply to. Afterwards, they will face the differences between college and high school due to the transition to a completely new environment. Despite the several similarities, there are many various aspects such as timing and the way of teaching. Timing is the most obvious point to distinguish between high school and university. On one hand, most of high schools students usually arrive home at 2: 00 PM which is considered earlier than a college. Besides, each class takes 45 minutes due to the basics and simple subjects. On other hand, college students often leave approximately at 5: 00 PM. Taking into consideration the 2 hours for each lecture according to the heaviness and the depth of the information they receive. Nonetheless, both of them start in the early morning. Besides, they are giving a few breaks during the day. The second point of the difference between high school and college, is the way of teaching which requires a hard work to adapt with, and expecting the best performance from the students. To begin with high school, teaching technique depends on teachers who take the most important role in the educational process. The teacher has to prepare the lesson to explain every point in an easier way, and he helps the students who have difficulties with the lesson. He even monitors them and encourages them to do their homework in order to expand their knowledge and get high grades. In comparison with college students. In that system, they depend on self-learning, and the instructor plays a different role. The instructor offers the resources and lets the students do the whole work, then he will give them feedback about their answers. In conclusion, timing, teaching techniques, the way of searching and answering the questions are the main aspects to distinguish between the high school and the university. Some of high schools start to apply the college style in their educational process. That aims to let the students depend on themselves and prepare them for a brighter future.
