Discuss similarities and differences between Jane’s life at Gateshead and her life at Lowood. 8Jw2w
Hello teachers and everyone, today group 2 will present about Jane Eyre. My name is Thu Sang and today Anh Thu, Tu An and I will talk about the similarities and differences between Jane's life in Gateshead and Lowood. The first point must be said that Gateshead and Lowood both have bad guys who hate Jane, they don't want her to have a good life. Mrs. Reed treated her worse than a servant, wouldn't let Jane play with her children, didn't want Jane to appear in front of her eyes. Mrs. Reed locks Jane in the red room despite her begging. This haunted Jane and Jane grew more and more timid, afraid of Mrs. Reed. When Jane was at Gateshead or Lowood, Mrs. Reed always did not want her to have a happy life. Mr. Brocklehurst had a grudge against Jane from the first time he heard Mrs. Reed say she was a liar, and Mr. Brocklehurst reprimanded and threatened her with the death of a lying child. At Lowood School he made Jane stand on a high chair with a 'lie' sign on her neck, and he wouldn't let anyone talk or play with Jane. Both he and Mrs. Reed wanted everyone to isolate Jane. The second similarity is more positive, that is, whether, in Gateshead or Lowood, there will always be people who care and love Jane and teach her many valuable lessons. At Gateshead, there was Bessie who cared for Jane, the only one to kiss her goodbye and instruct the guard to take care of Jane when Jane comes to Lowood. At Lowood Jane was happier with her best friend Helen Burns, Helen taught Jane how to control her emotions. Jane from a person who had a hostile look at Mrs. Reed became calmer and more restrained. And Miss Temple brings comfort and closeness and teaches Jane many things. Ms. Temple is the motivation for Jane to study better and better. Bessie at Gateshead, Miss Temple and Helen at Lowood, like the flames that warmed Jane's infancy, gave her hope and happiness, and helped Jane remove the hatred and darkness in her heart.
