An old friend is coming to town and has invited you to go to the cinema. Write to your friend. In your letter:- -Explain that you are unable to come -Find out how long your friend is staying in town -Arrange a suitable time to meet

Dear Ali, Hoping you are safe and your kids are fine. I received your e-mail regarding your invitation last week, and I appreciate it. I really want to go, but I have a seminar to take part in my workplace. It is crucial and no one in our company should be absent that day. Also, my boss is soon to retire, that’s why we are having a night out party after the seminar. How long will you have? We can arrange our meet up for another day, or perhaps you want to come with me to the party. I am sure that you will have a good time, and I think you already met my colleagues a few years ago at our Christmas party. After the celebration, we could go somewhere to have a chat. If you are keen, I can pick you up at the station and can spend the night with us as you did before. It will be like old times. All the best, Maja
