Dear Tom, I am writing in response to your request for advice to help you choose between finding a job and going to college. As you know, in the city you live, there are not famous universities and they are not the ones that prepare you for getting a job. On the other side, I know that you are not enthusiastic about doing research and applying for academic positions in the future, so in my opinion, college won’t be enjoyable for you at all. Considering your personal characteristics, you are a boy who loves using different tools. So if you want to work with different utilities, you should learn them.
