Dear Penfreind, I am writing to you to share with you some advise in regards to improving your English skills before moving to Sydney. As you know, to master English language you will need to work on the four elements of this language: reading, writing, listening and speaking equally. you might find yourself doing better in one area than the other depending on your learning style and that’s ok. I advise you to learn what are you weaknesses and but more study effort and focus in that area. until you feel comfortable. For Reading, I suggest you find books and reading material that discueses an area you are interested in. This will help you get engage more with the content and it will make it less boring. Also, another way that helped me the most which I advise you to give it a shot was enabling subscription when I watch my daily tv shows. For speaking and listening, I recommend you sign up in online chat rooms and speak english with strangers. While it might not be as effective as when you are in an english speaking country, It will help you get pass the stage of fear of making mistakes when speaking. For writing, there is no an easy way for this one, you more you do it the better you get at it. I advise you to check out some of the writing asisstance website which recommends better phrases and vocabulary while you are writing and checks for your grammar mistakes. overall, I recommend you switch your world to english slowley in advance of your arrival to sydney. start by switching the language in your phone and laptop to english then your movies and maybe make a friend in sydney and start chatting with them in advance.
