On 23rd September 2015, Nepal suffered from economic and humanitarian crisis which affected it economy badly. The blockade chocked imports of not only petroleum, but also medicines.
The blockade is led by ethnic minorities who say they are discriminated against in the new constitution. Nepal has accused India of imposing an undeclared blockade triggered by Indian concern about changes to the Nepali constitution. India has denied the allegation, stating the supply shortage have been imposed by Madhesi protesters with in Nepal.
Nepal imports all of its petroleum supplies from India. Roughly 300 fuel trucks enter from India on a normal day, but this had dwindled to a sporadic passage of 5-10 fuel trucks daily since the start of crisis. As a result almost all the Nepalese faced problem of shortage of Medicine, Petroleum etc.
Therefore, after the massive earthquake in Nepal, the problem didn’t stop it faced economic crisis due to the blockade from India.
