Data is a heart of innovation today and it is essential for every business to function efficiently. I had a keen interest in this field from the time of my undergraduate studies. I have also been working in the same domain in my organization and also noticed people with required skills prospering in their career. The current market has huge demand for data science professionals and good analytical proficient’s, decision making skills are necessary for every sector. I would be a great privilege to study in Canada as it is known for diversity, Technological innovations and advanced amenities. I would like to enroll in your university for Masters in Data Science. I have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Systems and Design at Coimbatore Institute of Technology which is accredited by NAAC ‘A’ Grade. During this time, I excelled in several Courses including Algebra and Calculus, Probability and Statistics as well as Programming Languages such as C, Object oriented Programming in C++, JAVA. Furthermore, I have developed a significant skill expertise in Data collection, data analysis and Statistical testing. I have done a thesis on production of agricultural crops where I have observed various dependent Parameters required for growth of the plants. By utilizing the R Programming language, I was able to infer that water, Nitrogen and phosphorous in adequate quantities yielded to the growth of plants. I had completed internship on Machine learning through my own interest at KG DENIM private limited who are the leading exporter of Jeans to overseas countries. Also, Inculcated to perform data handling of various departments for different prospective. On the other hand, further implemented the Hypothesis formulation, multivariate analysis and many more methods in order to estimate the running performance and breakages of the yarn by their guidance. It provided a wonderful chance to study advanced algorithms, statistical techniques, exploiting different tools such as Mini tab and SPSS. My passion for data science has constantly inclined and would like to enhance my learning’s by studying at your university. I have a worked as an Assistant System Engineer at TATA Consultancy Services for two years. During my learning phase, I have been trained on multiple domains such as Internet of things, Machine learning, Data Virtualization, Web Technology. Furthermore, I have also actively participated in AI hackathons and done Running pace simulator project on Internet of Things. Fortunately, I got an opportunity to work on Machine learning project using the Tensor flow API’s. My experience working with these tools and technologies has further motivated me to upgrade my learning and pursue masters in data science. To achieve my goals, I am Cognizant of the need to be trained in a scholarly setting that fosters experiential learning. Indeed, University of British Columbia is a multicultural and regional educational hub that provides an active learning environment with top-class laboratory facilities. During my habitual review of the capstone projects which is accomplished by students of the department, I read several proposals such as Informing Disaster Relief, Understanding the Gender Wage Gap where the way in which data progressed and graduated students who dealt with concern authorities for data collection. I hope to get trained on distinctive data models that will improve my knowledge on the different real-time scenarios, with the hope of developing novel preventive. Importantly, I look forward to learning from the diverse array of students and top-rated professors within and outside the department of computer science and statistics. My desire Post completion of Masters Degree is to work in a reputed organization as data Scientist and long term career objective is to explore in field of Analytics and Statistics. I have a plan for pursuing more research and publish journals in order to expand my knowledge. In nutshell, I thought that my study intentions, experience throughout the field of work, strong academic background in Computer Science would indeed be beneficial to my studies. I am confident that my collective experience has sufficiently prepared me for this next step in my scholastic journey. Therefore, it would be a wonderful opportunity to be nurtured in reputable institution where there is a great collaboration with industries.
