What is happiness, in your opinion? 1. That’s an interesting question. Personally, I think happiness is a very difficult concept, which everybody chooses for themself because everybody has their own definition of happiness. We cannot describe these feelings. My contention is, happiness is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment. The feeling that comes when we feel satisfied, fulfilled and we can see it in people’s eyes. Happiness glows from inside their souls. It's not something concrete, you can't list it with a number or a system. For me, happiness is my life. I enjoy every moment of it. It's having the freedom and opportunity to do what I want and achieve it. For instance, I was on top of the world when I received the results of admission to my favorite university, or the times I received scholarships. Of course, if I go on to have a career and a family, then I will be over the moon. What can make people happy? 2. I think everyone has their own interpretation of what happiness is. For one person, perhaps happiness is health, for another it is love or spirit. Some people think that buying a lot of things such as high-end clothing, luxury brands or enjoying delicious food and having a lot of money makes them happy. Others feel happy when they work to achieve their goals for a long time such as graduating from university or getting a good job with well-paid, getting married or starting a new family, they feel delight and joy. Or sometimes we feel happiness when we see unbelievable scenery or beautiful buildings or just see others happy, simply. Do you think people in your country are happy? Why or why not? 3. I feel very happy and graceful cuz I was born and raised in Vietnam in a family full of love and happiness, and I think that the majority of people in my country also feel happy and lucky to be Vietnamese. Frankly, everybody can be a happy person because they have happy families, relatives, friends, and opportunities which they can realize in the future. Unfortunately, there are a number of people who think they are not happy, due to the fact that they have a lot of problems or issues like they were born in a miserable family without any opportunities to get school and shortage of food. They do not remember any good events and things for very long. To sum up, I believe that everyone in my country or around the world also has the right to be happy in the ways they choose.
